Roberto Cavalli.

This week i have been looking at digital printed scarfs that inspire me to help create my scarfs. One designer i did find interesting is Roberto Cavalli. His designs are unique and the imagery he uses on then are quite interesting how hes mixed imagery together. Below are a few examples that i like.
Roberto Cavalli Square Scarf in Multicolor (blue) On this scarf above i like how detailed the drawing is and for each different image they have there own colour palette so the scarve has numerous colout palettes on it.

Hermes Silk Scarves Inspiration

Limited colour palette and has geometric patterns spread across the scarves.

This week I have had a tutorial and decided to create samples for scarves and wallpapers. I started to research scarves and first of all looked at Hermes collection of silk scarves as i know they are very colourful as well as creative. Below are images that have inspired me to create my scarves in a similar way.
I like how the squares of images create an animal gives me inspiration to create something simular using my vintage  imagery .
Has a lot of geometric pattern and shapes in the scarves which is similar to my shapes and designs.

Visit to Bents Garden Centre

This weekend when i visited Bents garden center i found a lot of Orla Kiely designs she has created for household items. When looking at these items i have noticed that her colour schemes match's the 1960's colour.

Experimenting with Adobe Illustrator.

Last week after creating a lot of designs sheets I started to scan my images in and change , add or repeat the image in Illustrator to create patterns i could use for wallpapers. During this following week I will be creating more designs , adding images to my Blog to show how the designs are developing.

Pop Art Inspired

For one of my design sheets I have painted and outlined a old 1960's T.V. Personally I like what I have done here and from this piece I can imagine it on wallpapers and fabrics, and  I like how it has a quirky style to the image.

Inspired by Bridget Riley

The end of last week and this week i am focusing on geometric shapes taking inspiration from Op artist like Bridget Riley.
Here are two images of one design sheet.
This image was taking half way through painting the design sheet.

Here is the final image. I have zoomed in on my camera so that you can see the fine lines alot clearer in the circles.

This week so far i have nearly complete another design sheet based on Op art . With this sheet , i am going to cut it out and create smaller versions in different colours based on my colour palette for my theme of geometric 1960's shapes.
